September is Fall Prevention Month, but at Harbor’s Edge, supporting strength and movement is a year-round priority. Staying active isn’t just about exercise–it’s about living with confidence, independence, and joy. Our community makes wellness a natural and enjoyable part of daily life.

Fitness That Fits Every Lifestyle

Residents have many ways to stay active: fitness centers, wellness classes, a heated indoor pool, nearby walking trails, and guidance from personal trainers. Our Director of Health and Wellness, Laurie Gris, also organizes themed group programs that bring people together in fun and engaging ways.

Balance and Confidence

Exercise improves balance, coordination, and agility, which can help reduce the risk of falls. Movement builds steadiness and supports confidence in daily routines.

Everyday Strength

Bone and Heart Health

Weight-bearing activities strengthen bones and lower the risk of osteoporosis, while regular activity also supports cardiovascular health by improving blood pressure and cholesterol.

Physical activity boosts mood, lowers stress, and sharpens focus. Group classes also create opportunities for connection, turning exercise into moments of friendship and encouragement.
