Two senior living veterans have joined Harbor’s Edge — Jeanie Gander as our new Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and April Hicks as our new Director of Sales for Assisted Living and Memory Support. These accomplished professionals bring decades of experience in aging services, along with a shared passion for serving older adults in the Norfolk area.
Jeanie Gander joins Harbor’s Edge with more than 20 years of leadership in sales and marketing for Life Plan Communities. A proud Norfolk resident for over two decades, Jeanie is deeply connected to the local community and brings a wealth of industry knowledge and insight to her new role.

April Hicks brings 15 years of experience in long-term care, combining strategic sales leadership with a foundation in clinical care. With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, April blends business savvy with a strong sense of compassion and empathy—values that guide both her professional and personal life. Her purpose-driven approach and commitment to meaningful impact make her a perfect fit for Harbor’s Edge.
